Eagle Bluff Resort
Since 1969 we have been floating our Guests on the Illinois River in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Rafting on the River is the most popular way to go, with kayaks gaining populatity each year. In the last three years The Bluff has purchased over 150 top of the line boats (Midwest Rafts White Water Rafts and Jackson Riviera Kayaks). As members of the Proffesional Paddle Sports Association we have trained our Bus Drivers and River Guides in the best ways to explain safety and paddling to our Guests. Now with our new website you can find Illinois River levels at Watts, Chewey Bridge, and Tahlequah Bridge and even weather conditions. Our boat choice page, explains all the types of boats we have for Rafting, Canoeing and Kayaking. There is even a video of the Jackson Kayak floating down the river.
I feel like its kind of ridiculous to have a "bed time" in the adult section of camping, but rules are rules. The staff that works at the windows tend to be a little rude. It was raining on my last trip and some one in office refused to check me in for my float while I was inside the office, she made me walk around to the outdoor window and stand in the rain to get checked in and get my wrist band. Keep in mind, since it was raining, there was no one else trying to check in at the time. But the security guards are ALWAYS very professional and polite. There's an issue with poison ivy not being cleared from camping areas and there is limited shaded camping spots. I have been going to Eagle Bluff at least once a year for the past 5 years (if not longer) and I would say, if there was another camp site that had Adult Only camping, I would definitely give them a try over Eagle Bluff.
Cleanest and most organized camp ground. They take care of the river and it’s a pretty easy float.
We didn't have to stand in long lines or have a long wait tine for the bus. Had a great time and had a big group of us as well.
My friends and I have a blast every year at eagles bluff when we have our girls weekend. Friendly staff and great place to camp out or rent a cabin
The equipment and facilities are just as good as any other outfitter in the area. My issue was with the staff and getting started on our float. The girl that checked us in had issues with the computer system and tried to charge us for an extra person even though she clearly counted our group of 9 that was in front of her. We we're also told that two members of our group could not drive to the drop-off area because they had to hear the safety "speech" on the bus ride. A speech was not given. We arrived late at the end, and they locked the doors to the store and restrooms as soon as we were finished even though it was still operating hours. We went on a weekday.
