The 8 Best Student Discount Offers in Oklahoma!

It’s no secret that college students are usually on a tight budget and looking to save in any way they can. But once you’ve received your student ID, your whole world opens up to discounts! From museums to local restaurants, here are eight great student discount offers to capitalize on in Oklahoma!

1. Philbrook Museum, Tulsa, OK

Most museums have some form of a student discount, but the Philbrook gives students from its list of member colleges free admission. It includes most colleges in the Tulsa area, as well as Oklahoma State University-Stillwater. Check their hours and admissions page on the website.

2. Eskimo Joe’s, Stillwater, OK

Although this discount is only valid for OSU students, it sure is a good one. On Tuesday nights, from 5 to 10 p.m., show your ID and get 25 percent off your entrée!

3. Dr. Kenneth Guthrie, Oklahoma City, OK

Get 10 percent off an eye exam and another 10 percent off a year’s supply of contacts at this local optometrist. The website lists University of Central Oklahoma, the University of Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State University, but be sure to give them a call to see if they will accept your ID!

4. Sooner Vet, Norman, OK

If you’ve got a pet, you want to keep it healthy without breaking your bank. This vet serves the OU area, offering students a 10 percent discount!

5. OK Share

College students get reciprocal borrowing privileges by asking their local library about the OK Share program. If you need research material unavailable locally, this could really help you save money and time.

6. Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, OK

Students from local colleges get in free, but all other students get a $3 discount on admission. The artwork in this museum is breathtaking.

7. Myriad Botanical Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK

Although students don’t get a huge discount on admission, $1.00 off with a valid student ID, this place will cure your winter blues. When you’re worn out studying, come surround yourself in the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory. Enjoy the blooming flowers. Look for lizards in the desert end of the conservatory. Put your electronic devices away and drink in nature.

8. O'Connell's Irish Pub & Grille, Norman, OK

O’Connell’s has a 20 percent discount on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for anyone with an OU ID, including students. They’re a great place to unwind, enjoy a beer, and just hang out with your friends.
