Oklahoma Renaissance Festival - Six Weekends of Merriment!

The Castle invites one and all to join the festivities of the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival! Step back into 1569 England to experience the royal quest for knighthood, a full-contact Jousting Tournament, Birds of Prey exhibitions and travelling Acrobats! Her Majesty will declare a theme to honor the visiting Kings each weekend.

We look forward to celebrating the joyous return of the festival this upcoming spring. The Castle has updated protocols to ensure your safety, so that we may convene and commence in merriment again. HUZZAH!

As the rose turns

Queen Elizabeth 1 sits on the throne and rules over the kingdom of Castleton, England in the year of 1569. During the preparations of the upcoming 6 week festival , there are whispers of a Catholic uprising. As this festival is to honor the recent peace and prosperity within the lands, her majesty must absolutely keep the village thriving.

What better way to squelch the Catholic claim than to secure an alliance as well as an heir, than to marry? Her majesty decrees that she shall entertain a new suitor each weekend of the Festival and theme their visit in honor of the country they reign over. Her Majesty shall take a reprieve from matchmaking during the celtic weekend in order to establish amnesty with Queen Mary of Scots.
Thus the Themes of the 27th Annual Festival.
