With 20 galleries and eight different restaurants, the bohemian culture of the Paseo District is a great choice for conversation and fun with your date. Sauced usually has evening music or readings, making it a great place to finish off the evening.
Rent a tandem bicycle with your date at Tom’s and take a ride through the River Parks. Make a stop at the Blue Rose Café for their famous cheese fries and blackened chicken before going back to Tom’s.
Guthrie is a historic town that has a lot to offer for a first date. Every Saturday, First Capital Trolley offers historic tours of landmarks around the city. When you finish the tour, walk through the downtown area to check out the antique stores and boutiques. We recommend Stables Café for dinner.
Drive through the refuge for spectacular views of the area. You can drive to the top of Mount Scott, which is almost 2,500 feet above sea level. Visit the Quanah Parker Nature and visitor center for exhibits and artwork. Then drive over to Medicine Park’s the Old Plantation Restaurant for a lovely dinner of classic comfort foods.

Go for a wine tasting at this award-winning winery in southern Oklahoma. While you’re in the area, stop in at Sulphur’s Bedre Chocolates and sample this fine chocolatier. Have dinner at the Springs at the Artesian for a romantic evening meal.

On Thursdays, the museum offers special pricing after 5 p.m. and it’s open until 9 p.m., making this spot a nice weeknight first date. Walk through the exhibits, make sure not to miss the Dale Chihuly glass display, as it’s absolutely breathtaking. The museum café stays open until 10 p.m., to let you get dinner or drinks and dessert before you end the evening.

This studio offers classes for the community to work with hot glass first hand. What better way to get to know someone else than by creating a masterpiece with them? The Brady Arts District has many great restaurants where you can get a bite to eat after class, but we recommend Sisserou’s Restaurant that features the flavors of the Caribbean.
When OU is in session, the observatory features Wednesday night star viewing parties. This is an inexpensive and exciting date. Meet up at Gaberino’s homestyle Italian restaurant for an intimate and delicious meal.
If you’re more adventurous, take your date on a climb in a controlled indoor environment. When you’re finished, drive up to Deep Deuce and get dinner at the Wedge Pizzeria, a casual spot that features excellent pizza, appetizers and wine.
Learn to make sushi with Chef Nobu for an evening of fun with your date. The class is offered on the second Thursday of the month, and it’s a hands-on opportunity.
